Countersinks, Center Drills and Spotting Drills

Countersinks create cone-shaped holes that accommodate the head of a screw or rivet and are also used for chamfering and deburring. Center drills are short in length and help begin holes that are eventually drilled to greater depths. Spotting drills are like center drills except they are more precise and offer greater rigidity.
