Sump, Sewage and Effluent Pumps

Handle wastewater and effluent with ease using Motion's sump, sewage, and effluent pumps. Our pumps are designed for durability and efficient removal of liquid waste. Submersible Pumps are centrifugal pumps where the motor and liquid end of the pump are submerged in the liquid being pumped. They can pump clean liquids(sump), slightly dirty liquids (effluent), or solids (sewage) materials. The impeller design and flow, as well as port size, generally determine the application of these types of pumps. The motor and voltage is specific to the impeller and application, as a general rule. Solids handling, or sewage pumps, are able to pump clean water, but generally not as efficiently as impellers designed specifically for clean water; solids handling or sewage pumps have larger openings in the impeller to pass solids. However, the clean water pumps will clog if used in an application where the sewage pump is required. Submersible pumps are used in applications where the pump can be kept below the grade in a pit, minimizing floor space for the pumps as well as discharging the liquid below grade if needed.
